Mark began his career as an account executive with WEEI Sports Radio in Boston from 1981 to 1992. Opportunity knocked and Mark became a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial, where he worked until 2017 when he joined Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Guilford College in North Carolina.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® (with plaque design) and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Mark Lessner

My mother always told me to be on time, and I have made promptness a priority ever since. It’s interesting that in my financial planning position, I am helping people “be on time” for retirement.

I have a witty, creative side as well. I’ve won awards for writing commercials, and I often thought my dream job would be master of ceremonies at a roast. My creative side is probably why I would also like to learn more about photography.

I am originally from Fairfield, Connecticut, and now live in Northborough with my wife, Faye. On the weekend or after a hard day’s work, we enjoy having a glass of wine on the dock at Richmond Pond.

In my free time, I also enjoy playing golf and spending time at the family lake house in the Berkshires. In the past, I enjoyed serving as president of the Rotary Club of Northborough.

We have two children, David and Amy. I am very proud to have my son, David, working alongside me as a partner in my practice.
