Jan Williams

I was raised on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania, which contributed to my love of animals and hard work. I now live in Bluffton, SC, and love to spend my free time centered around outdoor activities such as snow skiing and playing tennis. Tennis has been an important part of my life for some time.

My college was too small for a tennis team, so the Sinclair college tennis coach invited me to return to school and play on the college team. In my late 30s, I reached the National All-American status for two years and Academic All-American, also for two years.

Being active and giving back to my community is also very important to me. My mother and sister had Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, volunteering and fundraising are essential ways for me to honor both of their lives. I also participate in community clubs, including Money Talks, Eat Smart, Live Longer, and the Buckeye (Ohio State) Club.

My family is the most important part of my life. My husband, Bob, and I consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have two fantastic children, David, a financial advisor (who I also get to work with!), and Heather, a sales manager for a digital publishing company in Austin, TX. We have been blessed with 5 beautiful grandchildren, Pierce, Chase, Brynn, Tyson, and Vaughn.

I enjoy watching college football and spending time with animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses. I also like to garden and learn about flowers, including Orchids and Hydrangeas. The Hilton Head area affords us amazing opportunities to watch dolphins, manatees, Egrets, alligators, and so much more.
