I have a number of passions in life, but undoubtedly the most important is my wife, Stephanie. I remember telling my mom a few weeks after our first date, “Mom, I found the girl I’m going to marry … I just need to find a way to get her to say yes.” The two greatest moments of my life were when she said “yes” and “I do.”
Family has always been important to me. I learned loyalty, commitment and putting others first from my parents, aunts and uncles. I found my first love, hockey, alongside my cousins Kevin and Cherie. One of the greatest joys in my life is being a “Funcle” (fun uncle) to Kate, Connor and Aiden.
As I mentioned, hockey was my first love. My Dad enjoys telling the story of the first time I watched the Bruins play when I was only 3 years old. He tried to change the channel and I cried hysterically. Shortly after, he tried to put me to bed, and I had the same reaction. A few days later he took me to learn to skate, and while I spent more time falling than skating, I was instantly hooked. I fell short of my dream of playing for the Bruins, but was able to play varsity hockey all four years at Wesleyan University, captained the team my senior year, and earned NESCAC all-academic honors each year. I am still a huge fan of the Bruins and coach my nephew Aiden’s pee wee team. My dream job would be general manager or coach of an NHL team.
I am a lifelong resident of Massachusetts and live in Somerville with Steph and our Yorkshire terrier, Tucker. I am actively involved with Pingree School, as a member of its Board of Trustees, Alumni Leadership Board and co-chair of its Athletics Honor Society
While I spend most of my day interacting with clients and our team at Boston Harbor, one thing that others would never guess about me is that I was extremely shy as a child. I think the confidence I gained from playing hockey, along with the influence from the Pingree School, helped me overcome my shyness and become a better leader.
When I have free time, I enjoy golfing, fishing and certainly, coaching and watching hockey.
